We Are All Treaty People
The 2014 Keondaatiziying – How We Will Sustain Ourselves Conference will be held in Sioux Lookout and Lac Seul First Nations on September 16-18, 2014.
Building on the successful partnerships built over the past few years, this conference will continue the development of strong collaboration between communities, organizations, enterprises and citizens in Treaty #3 and Treaty #9 areas.

We are delighted to offer a pre-conference event, free of charge, for all guests of the conference.
Take a tour of Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre from 3:30 - 4:30pm on Tuesday, September 16. Take the opportunity to see many service areas of the Health Centre as well as the traditional kitchen, gathering and ceremonials spaces. For more information click here.

Sioux Lookout & Lac Seul First Nation partner to host 2014 Conference

Sioux Lookout Mayor Dennis Leney and Lac Seul First Nation Chief Clifford Bull both attended Keondaatiyizing Conference 2013 in Kenora. During the closing session of the conference, small working groups were asked to evaluate the event and plant seeds for a subsequent conference. Together, Mayor Leney and Chief Bull offered to host the next conference. Fast forward to the present and as promised this year’s conference will open in Sioux Lookout on September 16 with the majority of events taking place at the new Lac Seul Events Centre on September 17 & 18.
